1858 Jul 5th Seneca Coal Company first chartered
1860 Dec - newspaper report that Hurd and Flagg had leased the Seneca Coal Works
1861 Jan 11th shipment contract between Hurd and Flagg and Delaware Lackawanna and Western Railroad to deliver 200,000 tons prepared coal
1861 Mar 29th lateral railroad connecting to Lackawanna and Bloomsburg Railroad was shortly to be completed, so they could start delivering on their shipment contract with the DL& W Railroad
1861 May - first rail shipments from Seneca (461 tons)
1882 - - old breaker and slope abandoned
1888 - - new Seneca breaker completed (capacity 1500 tons per day) to prepare coal from Twin and Ravine Shafts
